Raised Bed Gardens

Before you begins this process, take a minute to address some issues before they become problems.

  • The Locations of your new garden bed is important. There's much to see. So, take your time, look around to see where the sun is shinning at noon.  Depending what you are growing you will need at least 4 hours of sunlight.

In addition consider having your garden close to you..close to the kitchen and in a place you can  see it from the window.

Size

The most affordable, convenient and accessible is a construction using New England White pine wood..Have the 4 pieces cut at the local saw mill at 8' x 8" x 8". These are heavy enough  to lay out without fastening together. This raised bed, since it will contain at least 8" of growing medium can be placed almost anywhere where the ground is level, without any preparation..no digging. You will need
